Aptean has acquired UK-based Paragon Software Systems, which provides transportation management software solutions serving the food and beverage, distribution and retail industries. With more than 4,700 systems deployed globally today, Paragon’s solutions are helping more than 300 customers transform their delivery models.

FourKites has been selected as the supplier of visibility data for Frozen Food Express (FFE), an asset-based, temperature-controlled LTL carrier in the United States. FFE will take advantage of FourKites’ real-time predictive visibility data for its in-transit loads. By providing a custom, data-driven “digital twin” of its entire LTL network, FFE is able to differentiate its transportation services with predictive ETAs. FFE will also leverage FourKites’ Temperature Tracking solution. With automatic alerts triggered as soon as a load’s temperature falls outside a predefined range, FFE will be able to take early action to remedy potential temperature issues.

Descartes Systems Group has acquired Peoplevox, a London, England-based provider of cloud-based e-commerce warehouse management solutions (eWMS). Descartes acquired Peoplevox for GBP18.9 million (approximately US$24.5 million).

Hair styling tools maker T3 Micro has chosen third-party logistics provider ODW Logistics. T3 Micro is managing its entire fulfillment strategy and providing premium packaging and delivery services throughout North America from ODW’s personal-care products distribution centre. ODW Logistics provides order fulfillment technology, kitting, customized packaging, labeling, delivery execution, and transportation management.

Latin America based helicopter manufacturer, Helibras, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airbus, has awarded CEVA Logistics a new five year contract through to 2024. The new deal covers two facilities in the north of the Sao Paulo region at Atibaia and Itajuba (Minas Gerais). The plants manufacture both civilian and military helicopters. CEVA will continue to manage transport and warehousing at Atibaia, and warehousing at Itajuba where teams of its own staff manage ground transportation, inbound and outbound airfreight logistics as well as a range of contract logistics functions within each warehouse.
