KAG Logistics & Connectrans Logistics Inc

KAG Logistics, LLC has completed the acquisition of Connectrans Logistics Inc. The Toronto, Ontario-based company provides logistics services for cross-border freight transportation between Canada and the U.S. The acquisition expands KAG’s footprint in the Canadian logistics market, and strengthens its cross-border product. Connectrans has an established carrier network with expertise in transportation solutions within dry van, temperature control, flatbed, over-dimensional and intermodal.

GXO Logistics & Currys plc

GXO Logistics, Inc. is celebrating the first anniversary of its partnership with Currys plc. GXO operates four distribution centers for Currys in the UK and Ireland, as well as its omnichannel fulfilment and returns logistics. Currys is an omnichannel retailer of technology products and services, operating online and through 832 stores in eight countries. GXO simplified Currys’ supplier structure, and manages Currys’ core transport services to complement its warehouse solutions. GXO also helped Currys meet TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings, Protection of Employment) requirements by welcoming more than 1,800 employees. GXO now works with Currys on a broad range of diversity and inclusion initiatives that include hiring team members through partnerships with charitable organizations.

FourKites & Mitsui

Mitsui & Co., Ltd. is investing US$10 million to expand FourKites’s offerings across the APAC region. This investment encompasses the first phase in an ongoing strategic relationship between FourKites and Mitsui, which the two companies intend to formalize by the end of the year. Mitsui is investing to expand FourKites’ coverage in APAC, including sales, customer service, operations and product localization, which will result in a hyper-localized solution for the APAC market. The partnership will initially focus on Japan, with plans to jointly expand throughout APAC.

ASRV & Descartes

High-performance sportswear brand ASRV has swapped manual, paper-based order fulfillment for digitized operations with Descartes’s combined e-commerce warehouse management and shipping solution. With the solutions, ASRV maintains accurate inventory levels for 2,000 SKUs, ships thousands of orders per month and can scale to meet escalating demand and order volume spikes.
