Siltech Corporation is spending $100 million to build a new 210,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Fort Erie, Ontario. It will be the company’s third facility in the province. As part of this investment to expand operations, the government is providing $5 million in funding through the Regional Development Program’s Southwestern Ontario Development Fund. Siltech manufactures specialty silicone used in the personal care, automotive, agriculture, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries.
Darwynn and JD Logistics are partnering to give shippers acess across North America. Darwynn operates four facilities in Canada and JD Logistics operates six facilities in the United States, enabling sellers to benefit from comprehensive B2B and B2C offerings across North America.
Dock manufacturer Candock is using Omni WMS from Tecsys Inc. The Omni WMS was deployed with Tecsys’ rapid implementation methodology. Founded in 1997, Candock has a network of 90 distributors, with business operations across five continents. As the organization expanded over 25 years, it became clear that the existing manual system was no longer sufficient to meet growing demands. In order to keep up with the increasing complexity and scale of its operations, Candock recognized the need for a more advanced system that could simplify workflows, as well as evolve and scale with the company’s growth.
SAF+ Consortium, which produces and markets of e-SAF (Electro Sustainable Aviation Fuel), signed a memorandum of understanding with the Air France-KLM Group for the supply of second-generation e-SAF. The first deliveries of this fuel are scheduled for 2030. This agreement confirms the expertise developed by SAF+ Consortium at its Montreal plant since 2021. Synthetic fuel contributes to the decarbonization and reduction of the aviation industry’s CO2 footprint by using available raw materials and renewable energies that comply with international and European regulations (CORSIA and RefuelEU).
Schneider National has acquired M&M Transport Services, based in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. M&M Transport is a dedicated contract carrier that primarily provides specialty solutions for the retail and manufacturing verticals. Its top 20 customers include many Fortune 500 companies. The carrier deploys approximately 500 trucks and 1,900 trailers across 12 locations in the US Northeast, Midwest and Southwest.
