BraForMe & Descartes

BraForMe, a British online lingerie retailer, has integrated Descartes‘s cloud-based e-commerce warehouse management solution (WMS) to digitize and streamline its formerly manual order fulfillment operations. Descartes’ WMS allows BraForMe to support monthly growth rates that range from 20 to 70 percent.

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp & Carrier Transicold

Taiwan based global carrier Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp has leased 6,000 units of 40-ft high-cube PrimeLINE reefers, of which 500 are equipped with Lynx Fleet devices, as part of a renewal program for its refrigerated container fleet. This is the first order in 25 years from Carrier Transicold.

Dematic & Dexterity

Dematic and warehouse robotics provider, Dexterity, have partnered to offer full-task robotics as part of Dematic intelligent automation solutions. Dematic will sell and deploy Dexterity robotics globally and facilitate Dexterity’s entry into the European market. The first Dematic-Dexterity robot system is scheduled to be deployed in Q4 2022. 

Port of Virginia & Kalmar

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, will supply 11 Kalmar hybrid shuttle carriers to the Port of Virginia‘s Virginia International Gateway (VIG), a deepwater port in the U.S. East Coast. This is the sixth consecutive order of hybrid shuttle carriers from the Port of Virginia. With this order delivered, the customer will have 103 Kalmar hybrid shuttle carriers in operation between two terminals. The order was booked in Cargotec’s Q3 2022 order intake, and the delivery of the machines is scheduled to be completed in Q3 2023.

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics & Wilmac Enterprises

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics has bought Wilmac Enterprises, LLC, a domestic intermodal and drayage company, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Wilmac Enterprises will roll into RoadOne’s Southwest division in order to expand the company’s U.S. domestic intermodal capabilities. Wilmac has 75 drivers spread across Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee and Newark, New Jersey. 

PLA &TaylorMade Pallets & Logistics

PLA, an asset-based pallet management services provider, has acquired TaylorMade Pallets & Logistics, the largest independently owned pallet company in Central/South Texas. Founded in 2000 by Jeff and Jenny Gill, TaylorMade is a family-owned and operated provider of new, recycled, remanufactured, and custom-sized pallets. With a 17-acre facility in San Antonio, Texas, TaylorMade serves a customer base including various Fortune 500 companies. The acquisition brings PLA’s asset network to 77 facilities.
