The University of New Brunswick (UNB) has partnered with Supply Chain Canada to introduce the first supply chain accreditation within a Canadian Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
“This is a very exciting day for Supply Chain Canada, our new partnership with UNB will allow us to work more closely together, advocating for the supply chain industry, while developing supply chain professionals who are ready for the future,” said Dylan Bartlett, president and CEO of Supply Chain Canada.
Students in UNB Saint John’s MBA program who earn at least a B in the supply chain management stream will gain advanced standing in Supply Chain Canada’s Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) Designation program. They will also be exempt from all modules and workshops, allowing for a faster and more cost-effective path to earning the SCMP designation.
Dr. Petra Hauf, UNB’s provost and vice-president academic, said the initiative supports both students and the local economy.
“It will help graduates transition into the workforce quickly and with greater experience. Additionally, it will support local economic growth by providing businesses and organizations in New Brunswick and beyond with a strong pipeline of skilled professionals,” she said.
The one-year MBA program is delivered in-person at UNB Saint John and was developed with input from industry leaders to address the growing demand for supply chain professionals.
