Daifuku acquires Logan Teleflex

FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN: Daifuku Co Ltd is acquiring three companies—Logan Teleflex Ltd, Logan Teleflex SA and Logan Teleflex Inc.

Both Logan Teleflex Ltd and Logan Teleflex SA are based in Europe. Logan Teleflex Inc has its headquarters in the US. The three companies provide airport baggage handling systems and services.

Daifuku will acquire 100 percent of the shares in Logan Teleflex and Logan Teleflex SA. Jervis B Webb Company, a US-based subsidiary of Daifuku, will acquire 100 percent of Logan Teleflex Inc.

Logan provides products such as tilt tray sorters and the Intelligent Destination Coded Vehicle (IDCV). Logan’s tilt tray sorters are used for connecting flight baggage sortation at hub airports. It has more than 400 installations in 80 countries around the globe, mainly in Europe.

Logan has also established a joint venture in China, called Kunming Logan KSEC Airport Logistics System Company Ltd. Daifuku hopes to increase airport baggage handling systems business in the Chinese market, the company said.
