Craig Richmond has been appointed as president and CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority. Richmond worked with the Vantage Airport Group as CEO of six different airports located in three countries. He has also served as vice-president of operations at the Vancouver International Airport. He will being his duties on July 2, 2013, and succeeds Larry Berg in the position.
Robert Johnson is CP’s new vice-presdient of US operations. He joins the Calgary, Alberta-based railway after serving as general manager, northwest division at BNSF Railway Company. He takes over from Doug McFarlane who announced his retirement.
Nike Inc, the Beaverton, Oregon-based sportswear manufacturer has made a number of senior management changes, including appointing Eric Sprunk, currently the executive vice-president of merchandising and product, as the company’s chief operating officer. In his new role, he will be responsible for sourcing, procurement, manufacturing and information technology operations. He will also oversee Nike’s efforts to innovate its supply chain.
Gerald Evans Jr has been promoted to chief operating officer of HanesBrands. In his new role, he will have direct oversight of all global commercial and supply chain operations at the Winston-Salem, North Carolina based garment manufacturer.
The former CEO of America Latina Logistica (ALL), Eduardo Pelleissone, has joined HJ Heinz Company, as executive vice-president of operations. He will oversee supply chain, procurement and operations for the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based food manufacturer.
Cincinnati, Ohio-based automated handling solutions provider Intelligrated has added staff to to its Knighted software subsidiary. Scott Wells, Joe Nentwig and Michael Brown have been hired to manage major accounts. They will report directly to Craig Wilensky, Knighted’s vice-president of worldwide sales.
Plug Power Inc, the Latham, New York-based fuel cell manufacturer, has added Eric Prades, CEO of Air Liquide Advanced Business, to its board of directors.
Jamie Hudgens has been hired as the product manager for SmartShip, a new freight management service offered by Cincinnati, Ohio-based Aero Fulfillment Services. He will be responsible for developing the company’s inbound, outbound, LTL, container, rail and small parcel freight services.
ScanSource Inc, a Greenville, South Carolina-based supplier of barcode readers and datacapture devices, announced a number of senior executive appointments, including naming Scott Benbenek as senior vice-president of worldwide operations and integration support. In this new role, his focus will be the company’s logistics operations and customer service. The company also appointed a president of worldwide barcode and security. Glen “Buck” Baker moves from the position of interim president of ScanSource Europe into the newly created position.
Consulting company BearingPoint, which is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, has named some new partners to the firm. They include: Philippe Chaniot, a supply chain management expert who works out of the Paris, France office, and Karsten Kohl, an expert in commodities management, who works in the Zurich, Switzerland office,
