Rocky Subramanian

FourKites has appointed Rocky Subramanian as president. Subramanian will work alongside CEO Mathew Elenjickal. Subramanian was most recently executive vice-president and CRO at Ceridian. He previously served as senior vice-president and managing director of one of SAP’s largest market units. Before that Subramanian served in various roles at Oracle/PeopleSoft, Renaissance and NCS Pearson. He also advises as a volunteer mentor, and supports organizations with missions focused on education accessibility and eradicating hunger.

Kinedyne

Kinedyne LLC hired Ellie Ramey as vice president – sales and marketing. Ramey will direct sales and marketing for Kinedyne’s core cargo, curtainside solutions, and decking solutions segments in the United States and Canada. Ramey joins Kinedyne from her position as vice-president of sales at Global Finishing Solutions. Her background also includes roles in sales leadership and account management with increasing responsibility at AkzoNobel and General Motors’ accessory distributor, VIP Distributing Company.

Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS)

A slate of new officers – along with a new executive director – were introduced at a recent meeting of the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS). The 2023 MARS officers are: president Kathy Bathurst, CSX Transportation, Riverdale, Illinois; first vice-president Matt O’Kray, Transtar, Chicago, Illinois; and second vice-president Steve Blinn, Norfolk Southern, Orland Park, Illinois. The immediate past president is Carrie Evans, Iowa Interstate Railroad, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. New members of the MARS Executive Committee are: Peggy Emeis, Watco Companies, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Doug Grewe, Packaging Corporation of America, Lake Forest, Illinois; Brian Jonaitis, The Indiana Railroad Company, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Grant Keyser, TrinityRail, Dallas, Texas. The MARS leadership team will be supported by incoming executive director Tracy Stein. She replaces William Schauer who has retired after serving the association for 15 years.
