Who’s on the move: August 1, 2022

GTAA

Ian Clarke, chief financial officer at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), will retire December 31, 2022. Clarke has been CFO since 2017. He also served on the GTAA board of directors from 2012 to 2016 and chaired its audit committee for two years. Pat Neville, vice-president of airport development and technical services is also retiring at the end of 2022, after 21 years at the GTAA. Neville oversaw the activation of Terminal 1 in addition to numerous other high-profile projects during his time at the organization.

Canadian Marine Industry Foundation

Julia Fields

The Canadian Marine Industry Foundation (CMIF) has appointed Julia Fields as executive director effective August 22, 2022. Fields joins the CMIF with more than 20 years’ experience in communications and journalism in Canada, the U.S. and the UK, including most recently as communications director with the Chamber of Marine Commerce. For the past two years, Fields has acted as an advisor to the CMIF working closely with the team, and providing strategic direction and support for the CMIF’s communication activities. Before joining CMC, Fields developed national publicity strategies for the UK’s highest-rated current affairs program and held various journalist roles at national newspapers in Scotland.

Horizon Global

Jian James Zhou has taken over as chief financial officer at Horizon Global Corporation. Zhou most recently was executive vice-president and chief financial officer for Joyson Safety Systems, a supplier of mobility safety components and systems. Before that, Zhou was vice president and CFO for Tesla China. He previously served in divisional CFO roles for Ingersoll Rand and General Electric. Zhou replaces Dennis Richardville.

Sealed Air

Sealed Air (SEE) announced Henry Keizer as chair of its board of directors. Keizer succeeds Jerry Whitaker, who continues as a Board member. Keizer spent more than 35 years in various leadership positions at KPMG, including deputy chairman and chief operating officer until his retirement in 2012. He serves as a director at GrafTech International Ltd and as a trustee of the BlackRock Multi-Asset Fund Complex. Keizer has served on SEE’s board since 2017 and was most recently chair of the audit committee.
