Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated
Richard Cacchione and Sylvain Villiard have been reappointed to the board of directors of the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), the Crown corporation responsible for the operation of five federal transportation corridors in the Montreal area. Cacchione has extensive business experience in both the private and public sectors, particularly in construction and infrastructure, with companies such as Hydro-Québec, Aéroports de Montréal and Groupe Lavalin. He serves on the boards of private companies and foundations. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of JCCBI on June 21, 2018. Villiard is an experienced lawyer and manager who has worked in government administration. One of his roles was as assistant director general of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), where he led the hospital’s modernization project. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of JCCBI on June 15, 2017.
C.H. Robinson Worldwide
Jim Barber is a new director at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. Barber retired as the chief operating officer for United Parcel Service in January 2020. Before his appointment as COO, he was president of UPS International from 2013-2018. Barber currently sits on the board of directors at US Foods, Inc., serving in this capacity since May 2022, and is a member of US Food’s Compensation and Human Capital Committee. Barber previously served on the boards of UNICEF USA and the Folks Center for International Business at the University of South Carolina. He earned a Bachelors degree in Finance from Auburn University.
Advance Auto Parts
Reuben Slone, executive vice-president, supply chain, for Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is retiring from the company. He will be and be succeeded by Stephen Szilagyi. Szilagyi joins Advance from MSC Industrial Supply, Inc., where he was senior vice-president, customer solutions from 2018 to 2021 and senior vice-president, supply chain from 2017 to 2018. Previously Szilagyi spent 15 years with Lowe’s Companies, Inc., in a variety of roles, including chief supply chain officer from 2013 to 2016. He will begin as Advance’s executive vice-president, chief supply chain officer, and join Advance on January 9, 2023.
