Kim Richards

Kim Richards, vice-president of sales and customer experience at FleetOptics takes on the role of president on January 2, 2024. Richards has extensive experience and success in the e-commerce, logistics and transportation spaces. Before joining FleetOptics in February 2023, Richardson was with Canada Post since 2006, most recently as general manager, e-commerce, international and smart mail marketing solutions. This appointment marks a significant milestone in the industry as FleetOptics welcomes a female president to its leadership team.

Horizon Aircraft

Robinson Aircraft Ltd., doing business as Horizon Aircraft, a hybrid electric Vertical TakeOff and Landing aircraft developer, has appointed Brian Merker, as chief financial officer. Merker brings more than 20 years of senior financial management experience. Most recently, he was CFO of Skyservice Business Aviation. Before that he was vice-president of finance at Discovery Air. From 2007 to 2012, Merker was vice-president of finance at Score Media. He attended Queen’s University to complete his Chartered Professional Accounting requirements.

NMFTA

Jim Mullen

The US-based National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) has welcomed Jim Mullen as chief strategy officer. Mullen joins the organization as a consultant with nearly 20 years of executive experience in the trucking industry and provides consulting services as founder and resident of Mullen Consulting LLC. As the executive director of the Clean Freight Coalition, Mullen has formed relationships with key industry authorities across the transportation and supply
chain industry. Previously, Mullen as acting administrator and chief counsel of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) from 2018 to 2020. In his new role with NMFTA, he will be responsible for partnering with vehicle manufacturers, telematics companies, federal agencies, and supply chain leaders for
digital standards development and trucking cybersecurity research, as well as best practices to protect critical infrastructures.
