Canadian North

Canadian North has appointed Shelly De Caria as interim vice-president sales, marketing and distribution. De Caria joined Canadian North in 2013 from Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami. She brings extensive experience with key stakeholders, customers & communities. With De Caria’s appointment, Canadian North bids farewell to Jim Ballingall, vice-president sales and marketing. Ballingall retired from his role with the airline at the end of June. 2023. He was a former executive of Bradley Air Services Limited (operating as First Air) who rejoined Canadian North in 2022 to support, guide and mentor the sales and marketing teams.

Rivian

Rivian Automotive, Inc. has hired Sarah O’Brien as its chief communications officer. O’Brien is joining Rivian from Meta, where she spent more than four years as vice-president of executive and product communications. O’Brien will report directly to Rivian founder and CEO RJ Scaringe. Before Meta, O’Brien was vice-president of communications at Tesla. Previously, she worked at Apple for eight years. O’Brien is also on the board of StoryCorps.

Kion Group

Kion Group has appointed Christian Harm as a member of the executive board. He assumes the position of CFO, replacing Marcus Wassenberg, who is leaving the company. Harm has been an executive within KION – and its predecessor – for over 20 years. From 2006 to 2012, Harm led procurement, and then took over the leadership of the Group’s strategy department. In 2019, he assumed the position of executive vice-president finance and operations, and from 2021 onward, Harm took responsibility for the finances of the Group’s most profitable business, Kion ITS EMEA, as executive vice-president finance.

Lineage Logistics

Lineage Logistics has appointed Brooke Miller as president of its Asia-Pacific region. She will oversee operations across the region, including in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. She will report to Jeff Rivera, Lineage’s global chief operating officer. Most recently, she led the Asia-Pacific region of Castrol. Previously, she was Castrol’s vice-president of retail, sales and marketing. Miller also served as chief financial officer for BP Australia, New Zealand and China.
