Shelley Simpson

Shelley Simpson has been appointed president of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Over Simpson’s 28-year career at J.B. Hunt, she has served 15 years in executive leadership roles, most recently as chief commercial officer and executive vice-president of people and human resources, in addition to leading international services and corporate marketing. John Roberts will remain CEO and a member of the board of directors, a new management structure for the company. Simpson will oversee management and performance for all company business units, emerging technology, developing services and people and human resources. In 2007, Simpson was named president of integrated capacity solutions (ICS), a business unit she helped to create. She assumed sales and marketing executive responsibilities in 2011 as chief marketing officer. She took on additional leadership in 2014 as president of J.B. Hunt’s Truckload business segment. Simpson was named chief commercial officer and president of Highway Services in 2017 and led launch of J.B. Hunt 360°. In 2020, Simpson added responsibilities for people and human resources. In addition to these changes, Brad Hicks will continue as president of Highway Services and will take on additional responsibilities as executive vice-president of people. Hicks has been at the company for 26 years and has served in executive roles since 2017. Spencer Frazier will assume the role of executive vice-president of sales and marketing. Frazier has been with the company for 21 years, most recently serving as senior vice-president of sales, a role he has held for the past 11 years.

AGCO

AGCO, Your Agriculture Company, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, infrastructure and  technology, has appointed Tim Millwood to succeed Hans-Bernd Veltmaat as senior vice-president and chief supply chain officer effective August 15, 2022. Millwood joins AGCO following a more than thirty-year career at Cummins Inc, where he most recently served as vice-president, global manufacturing. Millwood’s career at Cummins included multiple international assignments culminating in his leadership of purchasing and manufacturing over the past decade. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Veltmaat has chosen to retire from AGCO on December 31, 2022. He will serve as a strategic advisor for the remainder of his tenure.

VSE Corporation has appointed Anita Britt and Lloyd Johnson to the board of directors. Britt brings a wealth of corporate finance, capital markets and board-level experience. Previously, she served as chief financial officer for Perry Ellis International and held senior financial leadership positions at Jones Apparel Group and Urban Brands. She currently serves on the board of directors for urban-gro, Smith & Wesson Brands and Delta Apparel. Britt is a Certified Public Accountant; a Board Leadership Fellow as designated by the National Association of Corporate Directors; and holds a Carnegie Mellon Cybersecurity Oversight Certification. Johnson brings a strong background in management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, internal audit and commercial operations experience. Previously, Johnson was global managing director, finance and internal audit at Accenture Corporation; executive director, M&A and general auditor for Delphi Automotive PLC; and held senior financial leadership positions at Emerson Electric Corporation, Sara Lee Corporation and Shaw Food Services. Johnson is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the National Association of Corporate Directors Directorship Certification designation. He is currently a board member for Haemonetics Corporation, Apogee Enterprises, Beazer Homes USA, and AARP.
