Montreal Port Authority

The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) has  appointed of Nathalie Pilon as chair of the board of directors. Pilon has been a member of the MPA board since 2017, when she was appointed by the Government of Canada. Pilon was president of ABB in Canada, member of the executive board of ABB Americas and president of Thomas & Betts Canada, where she was with the company since 1996 as vice-president of finance and information technology. Named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2011 by the Women’s Executive Network, Pilon received the Leadership Award from the Association of Québec Women in Finance (AFFQ) in 2015, and in 2018, an honorary doctorate from Concordia University. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montreal.

Mack Trucks

Wayne McDonald will be the regional vice-president for Mack Trucks’s Canadian region effective April 1. McDonald has 34 years of experience in the trucking industry and has worked for Mack Trucks in various roles since 2005. He was the director of fleet sales for Canada from April 2021. Previously, McDonald was district sales manager for the Canadian central district from 2013 to 2021. He also held positions as a regional parts director, district parts manager and general parts manager. McDonald, who is based in Mississauga, Ontario, replaces Steve Jugovich, who is retiring March 31.

Volta Trucks

Volta Trucks has appointed Martin Hofmann as its chief technology and information officer, effective from May 1. Hofmann was most recently senior vice-president at Salesforce, with previous roles at the Volkswagen Group as its group chief information officer.

Airforwarders Association

The Airforwarders Association (AfA) has appointed a senior lobbyist, Michael Taylor, to help maintain its pressure on the U.S. Congress for urgent investment in air cargo infrastructure at American airports. Taylor is managing partner of Diakon Partners. Taylor will represent the interests and concerns of both AfA and partners the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America. Taylor has more than 30 years of government and public affairs experience at the international, federal, state, and local levels, along with more than 15 years of experience in multimodal transportation policy.
