Allan To

Supply Chain Canada – Alberta Institute has hired Allan To as president and CEO. To is a He brings over 20 years of leadership experience across diverse industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing and construction, power utilities, and education. Most recently he was self-employed as an advisor with EnvisionPRO, and previously held positions at Suncor, TransAlta, and Air Canada.

Wayne Cochran

Wayne Cochran has joined pallet pool RM2 as chief operating officer. Cochran started his career as a design engineer for Motorola with a BSEE from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He later received his MBA from Arizona State University’s WP Carey School of Business and holds certificates in Negotiations and Management from Harvard University’s Schools of Law and Business. Throughout his career, Cochran has also worked for Intel, Badger Technologies, and Jabil.

National Motor Freight Traffic Association

Ray West

Ray West has joined the National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) as chief operating officer. A veteran of the trucking industry with more than three decades of experience – and also a Marine – West most recently served as chief executive officer of Charlotte, NC-based Nascent Technologies. Before his most recent role with Nascent, he served as vice-president of development with Atlas Van Lines, and as senior vice-president and general manager of TMS at Trimble (which acquired TMW Systems).

Swissport

Andres Diez, director of global commercial at Swissport, has been promoted to chief commercial officer for the Americas, including the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Diez reports to Frank Mena, CEO of Swissport’s US & Canada region, and to Rene Pascua, CEO of Latin America & the Caribbean. He joined Swissport in September of 2021. Diez has more than 20 years of experience in business development and financial planning and has worked for major logistics organizations such as DHL, and most recently GXO Logistics.

The company also appointed Karen Cox as CEO of its UK and Ireland region.
