Ute Filippone

Forklift telematics provider Elokon has appointed Ute Filippone as chief operating officer. Filippone brings more than  15 years of experience in the industry. Previously, she served in executive roles at Powerfleet, where she oversaw operations of the company’s European subsidiaries and international expansion. Before that she was with ID Systems as national sales manager in the UK.

DSV Canada

Burak Balki is the new senior director, operations, at DSV – Global Transport and Logistics. Previously, Balki was DSV’s regional director, operations. He joined DSV in 2017 as manager, engineering, coming from SCI Group, where he was senior manager, supply chain solutions and implementations. He has an MBA and bachelor of business administration degree.

Peak Technologies

Peak Technologies has named René Schrama chief revenue officer (CRO). Schrama will also continue his responsibilities as managing director for Europe. He joined Peak Technologies in November 2020, and was managing director for Europe since October 2021. After earning a degree in international marketing, Schrama held international sales leadership roles with Symbol Technologies and Motorola Solutions. In 2014, he started his own consulting company, advising corporations such as Zebra Technologies, Scansource, Datalogic, Toshiba and Polycom on their go-to-market strategies across Asia, Europe, North America and South America.

Kassow Robots

Jim Adamski has joined Kassow Robots as the five-axis cobot maker’s first regional channel partner manager in the U.S. Adamski was previously sales engineer with Parmerison Corp.

Omni Logistics

Omni Logistics has appointed Paul Gaffney as its first chief digital officer. Gaffney has than three decades of experience, most recently as Kohl’s chief technology and supply chain officer. He also worked at Charles Schwab as their senior vice-president of technology. Previously, he also worked as the executive vice-president of supply chain for Staples, senior vice-president of Home Depot, and chief technology officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Gaffney is a 2009 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, an international nonprofit organization and still serves as a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
