Brenda Novachek has joined REV Group, Inc. as senior director global sourcing and supply chain for REV’s commercial segment which includes manufacturers of Collins Type A school bus, ENC heavy-duty transit bus, Capacity terminal tractor and LayMor street sweeper brands. Novachek reports directly to Rob Vislosky, chief supply officer. Most recently she held the role of director global strategic sourcing at Polaris Industries, Inc., where she was responsible for indirect and electrification. Before that she worked for Oshkosh Corporation, Actuant Corporation, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Manitowoc Ice Inc., and Newell Rubbermaid in commodity management and supply chain, global procurement.
Don Ake has retired from FTR. Ake was the vice-president of commercial vehicles at FTR from 2013. His responsibilities included forecasting and analysis of the Class 8, commercial trailers, and medium duty truck markets. Ake began in the industry with equipment supplier Hendrickson in 1993 and worked at firms related to transportation his whole career. He is also the author of three short-essay humor books. His fourth book is scheduled for release early next year. He plans to write more books in retirement. Charlie Roth will assume the forecasting duties at FTR.
Pattern has hired former Amazon and Whitebox executive Rob Hahn as chief operating officer (COO). Hahn joins Pattern with more than a decade of experience in operations, robotics, and automated warehousing. While at Amazon, Hahn served as a senior leader and innovator of the company’s automated fulfillment centres, driving the successful integration of robotics and global expansion of the company’s logistics services. Most recently, Hahn served as chief operating officer at Whitebox, where he built the company’s global fulfillment network.
Martin Leopold is taking on the newly created position of chief financial officer (CFO) at Instafreight. Leopold has gained substantial experience in logistics during his career – especially in the areas of finance, sales, and IT. From 2014 to 2017, he was CFO at Deutsche Post DHL Group. Following that he was promoted to chief sales officer for DHL in Bonn.
