PITTSBURGH – Seegrid is launching a remote-first recruiting drive, aiming to increase its workforce by 40 percent in the next 12 months.
The company will expand its engineering, product development, and user experience teams to meet demand and develop new products.
In response to Covid-19 restrictions, approximately 80 percent of Seegrid’s workforce transitioned to a work-from-home model, with the remaining employees working safely to manufacture and test their mobile robots inside their facilities in Findlay Township of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
The company found that employees embraced the transition to working from home, retaining a positive and productive work culture. As a result, the company is offering the option to work in an office or remotely for the vast majority of new hires as a benefit that can extend beyond the pandemic.

Shifting to remote-first allows Seegrid to expand its extensive talent search. Over the past 12 months, Seegrid has expanded its teams by nearly 40 percent to 200 employees.
Additionally, Seegrid achieved a 97 percent employee retention rate – significantly above the industry standard. The company has been recognized as an award-winning workplace three years in a row.
