CEO of Kitchener, Ontario-based Clearpath Robotics, Matt Rendall, has been selected to join the Board of Directors for Robotic Industries Association (RIA) as one of four at-large directors. The positions were announced at RIA’s Annual General Meeting on February 2, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. The RIA board is composed of 22 directors who meet four times a year to plan the strategic direction of the association. Robotic Industries Association drives innovation, growth, and safety in manufacturing and service industries through education, promotion, and advancement of robotics and related automation technologies. The organization has a staff of 18 people working at the association’s headquarters office in Ann Arbor, Michigan and currently serves over 375 organizations around the world.

David Kalan, senior vice-president of marketing and business development for RM2 USA, was recently elected to the Reusable Packaging Association’s Board of Directors. Kalan is one of four members who will serve a two-year term for 2016-2017. RPA is a trade association of leading manufacturers, poolers, distributors, retailers and educators who are committed to reusable packaging systems. Since 1999, RPA has served as collaboration between supply chain partners to promote the environmental, safety and economic benefits of reusable packaging.

Geoff DeMartino has joined Hub Group as vice-president of corporate development effective February 1. In his new position, DeMartino is responsible for identifying and integrating acquisition opportunities. He will also be responsible for corporate strategy and will report directly to Dave Yeager, Hub’s CEO and chair of its board. Since 2013, DeMartino served as senior vice-president, global corporate development for Thermon Group Holdings Inc. He began his career in investment banking in 1999 as an Analyst for Bear, Stearns & Co in Chicago.
