Tecsys CEO Peter Brereton has been named a finalist in Ernst & Young’s (EY) Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 Award for the Québec region. EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year program recognizes entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are transforming their industries while excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their business and communities. Brereton initially led the company’s software development, product management, sales and marketing. In 1998, he was appointed CEO and was largely responsible for the company’s Initial Public Offering. He repositioned Tecsys in the supply chain execution industry, and led the company to significant growth.
Andreea Crisan, COO and EVP of Andy Transport, has been selected as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 Québec program, in the service category. “I am pleased and humbled to be one of this year’s finalists, each of whom have made incredible contributions to their communities”, Crisan said. “It would not be an exaggeration when I say that it is a true honour for me to be part of such a professional and highly devoted team. Our work has resulted in innovative results and this is a collective achievement.”
Dr. Sheldon Cheskes has joined Drone Delivery Canada‘s advisory board to assist in developing the company’s medical applications commercial strategy. Cheskes is an Associate Professor with the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is also a scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He is the Medical Director for the Regions of Halton and Peel with the Sunnybrook Centre for Prehospital Medicine. He is also improving public access to defibrillation in rural and remote areas through the use of community responder programs and drone delivery of automated external defibrillators.
