AutoGuide Mobile Robots has appointed Mike Harper as vice-president of sales and marketing. Harper previously served as the VP of sales and application engineering at Soft Robotics, Inc. Before that, he was sales director for Festo US. He has also served as the director of sales, Americas, Australia, New Zealand and Japan for Adept Technologies and the vice-president of business development and sales for Bodine Development & Test Systems. Harper holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and MBA from East Carolina University.

C.H. Robinson executive chairman John Wiehoff has retired from the company’s board of directors. Wiehoff, 58 years old, has been a director of the company since 2001. He served as CEO of C.H. Robinson from May 2002 to May 2019 and became chairman in January 2007. Previous positions with the company include senior vi-president, CFO, treasurer and corporate controller. before that, Wiehoff was employed by Arthur Andersen LLP. He also serves on the board of Polaris Inc., Donaldson Company, Inc. and U.S. Bancorp.

Chuck Schneider, who has been with Navis for more than 14 years, has been appointed the company’s chief customer officer, and will assume the role of general manager of the Americas division on an interim basis. Jacques Marchetti and Charlie Gerard will take over as general managers of the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) markets respectively. During Schneider’s tenure at Navis, he has been vice-president for professional services, vice-president for Kalmar Automation, general manager for the Americas, and for the past two years, as vice-president and general manager for EMEA. Most recently, Gerard has spearheaded Navis’ Customer Support Organization. In 2018, Marchetti became the head of sales for EMEA and before joining Navis was vice-president of business development EMEA for Embarcadero Systems and previously worked for Qiva, where he led the global sales division.
