Wajax

Iggy Domagalski

Mark Foote will retire as president and CEO of Wajax on December 31, 2021. Ignacy (Iggy) Domagalski, the CEO of Tundra Process Solutions Ltd., which was acquired by Wajax in January 2021, will be appointed president and CEO of Wajax. Foote has served as president and CEO of Wajax since March 2012. Domagalski joined Tundra in 2008 and, after serving as chief operating officer, was appointed CEO in 2016. Following Wajax’s acquisition of Tundra, Domagalski became a member of the Wajax senior leadership team. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and, in 2018, was named by BNN Bloomberg as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40; he is also the Fundraising Chair and a member of the Board of Directors of the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.

NARS

The North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS) elected new officers at its annual meeting in September. The 2021-2022 NARS officers are: president Patrick McGrath, McGrath Ground Logistics; first vice-president Bruce C. Mann, Port of Houston; second vice-president John Meyers, DM Bowman Company; secretary Kate Luce, Mississippi Export Railroad; treasurer Ray Hufnagel, Plastic Express; and, immediate past president Tom Tisa, CSX.

Swissport

Iván Nash Vila joined Swissport International AG as chief financial officer for the group and became a member of the executive leadership team on October 1, 2021. He succeeds Alexander Gradow, head of financial planning and analysis, who had been acting as interim CFO since August. Nash Vila will report to Warwick Brady, president and CEO of Swissport International AG. Nash Vila was previously CFO of Endemol Shine Group in Amsterdam, Netherlands until its sale. Before that he was with Liberty Global plc. in several senior roles, most recently as CFO for Switzerland, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe. In Liberty Global plc (LGI), Nash Vila also served as director of mergers and acquisitions and head of group financial planning and investor relations Europe. He holds an MBA from the London Business School and a BBA in Finance.
