New name for Purolator

JERICHO, NY: Purolator has changed its name, with Purolator Courier Ltd now called Purolator Inc while Purolator USA has been renamed Purolator International.

The new names mark the evolution of Purolator from a courier company to comprehensive logistics service provider with multi-modal capabilities, said Purolator.

“Purolator is Canada’s largest logistics company and our current selection of services covers more than our previous legal name embodied,” said Tom Schmitt, president and CEO of Purolator. “In addition to offering the best-in-class courier services in Canada, our team of more than 11,300 dedicated teammates offers a broad range of logistical services tailored to our customers’ business and personal needs. Purolator Inc and its subsidiary Purolator International are a reflection of this reality.”

Purolator maintains over 120 operations locations in Canada, more than 140 shipping centres and 550 authorized shipping agents, as well as over 350 drop boxes handling nearly 1.1 million pieces daily.

Purolator International specializes in forwarding and delivering the products of companies based outside Canada to, from, and within the Canadian market. The company will maintain headquarters in Jericho, NY, with branches throughout the US and Canada.
