Purolator International partners with US Customs and Border Protection

JERICHO, NEW YORK: Purolator International is partnering with the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP)—a component of the US Department of Homeland Security—as a certified partner in its Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.

C-TPAT, a voluntary US government-business initiative, and the country’s first worldwide supply chain security program, is designed to build cooperative relationships that strengthen and improve the international supply chain and US border security. Through the program, US Customs and Border Protection works with logistics and international supply chain businesses to improve cargo security.

As a certified partner, Purolator International said it will work to ensure international supply chain security measures are consistent with C-TPAT guidelines. With the partnership, Purolator International will receive C-TPAT benefits including reduced cargo exams, professional training and more.

“We are very pleased to have received C-TPAT certification, an important US initiative created to ensure cargo security measures for our country,” said John Costanzo, president of Purolator International. “Purolator International works with US businesses to deliver goods to and from Canada and is proud to be working alongside the US Customs and Border Protection to help our customers safely conduct business with its Canadian neighbor to build a more secure and more efficient global trade environment.”
