Cargo shipments continue as Air Canada pilots reach tentative deal

Following the announcement of a tentative agreement on a new four-year contract between Air Canada and Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), Air Canada Cargo advised its customers that all temporary acceptance policies have been removed and customers can book and proceed with shipments as planned.

Air Canada said it has reached a tentative, four-year collective agreement with the ALPA on Sept. 15, representing more than 5,200 pilots at Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge.

Air Canada said the new agreement recognizes the contributions and professionalism of the airline’s pilot group, while providing a framework for the future growth of the company.

Terms of the new agreement will remain confidential pending a ratification vote by the membership, expected to be completed over the next month, and approval by the Air Canada board of directors.
