Medline Canada partners with Mohawk Medbuy to expand hospital logistics in Ontario

Medline Canada has partnered with Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) to expand provincial warehousing and logistics services, aiming to improve supply chain resiliency, service reliability and cost efficiencies for hospitals in Ontario.

The partnership will support hospitals in Southwestern Ontario, responding to requests from facilities west of London, including London Health Sciences Centre, Windsor Regional Hospital, Bluewater Health, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Erie Shores Healthcare.

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with MMC to support the expansion of service to their member hospitals in Southwestern Ontario,” said Ernie Philip, president of Medline Canada and Latin America. “Our collective supply chain expertise, capabilities and resources will enable us to provide service excellence and cost efficiencies that are so important to the health care sector. This is how we make health care run better.”

Under the agreement, Medline Canada will leverage its distribution centre in Guelph, Ont., after being selected through a competitive request-for-proposals process launched in fall 2025. Implementation is underway, with transitions to begin this fall.

“Dependable supply chain services are a critical component of our members’ ability to deliver sustainable, quality care to their patients,” said Tony DiEmanuele, MMC president and CEO. “In response to member requests for MMC to offer this service London westward, this expansion aligns with our multi warehouse expansion plan for the province to provide that surety of supply.”

Medline Canada said the expansion builds on its role supplying medical-surgical products and logistics services across the country, serving hospitals, long-term care facilities and clinics through a national distribution network.
