Global supply chain company Arvato has acquired Canadian third-party logistics provider THINK Logistics, marking its entry into the Canadian market and expanding its North American fulfillment network.
The acquisition integrates THINK Logistics’ operations into Arvato’s existing U.S. footprint, creating a cross-border logistics platform intended to help customers operate supply chains across Canada and the United States.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Mississauga, Ont., THINK Logistics provides technology-driven third-party logistics services, including e-commerce fulfillment, retail distribution and value-added supply chain services. The company serves national and international clients across sectors including retail, fashion and high-tech.
“Entering the Canadian market is not simply geographic expansion. It is a strategic move to integrate Canada into our platform,” said Frank Schirrmeister, CEO of Arvato. “THINK Logistics combines technology, operational strength and entrepreneurial mindset. Together, we are creating a seamless cross-border operating model that enables global brands to scale faster, reduce complexity and increase resilience across the U.S. and Canada.”
Arvato said the acquisition adds national coverage and additional warehouse capacity in Canada through THINK Logistics’ network of facilities, while strengthening its technology-enabled fulfillment capabilities in the region.
The companies have previously collaborated, which Arvato said helped establish a foundation for integrating operations following the deal.
“Our collaboration with Arvato has already demonstrated the value of combining local expertise with global scale,” said Robert Hashimoto, president of THINK Logistics. “Joining Arvato allows us to further strengthen our technology-driven solutions within an international network while preserving our client-focused culture. Together, we are well positioned to support the next phase of growth in North America.”
Arvato said the acquisition is part of its broader strategy to build regionally integrated logistics platforms to support cross-border commerce and growing e-commerce demand in North America.
