Congebec and Bradner Cold Storage…

Congebec and Bradner Cold Storage merge to form coast-to-coast cold storage network

Congebec and Bradner Cold Storage have announced a merger that unites their operations under a single national network, expanding their reach across six provinces and creating 16 multi-temperature storage facilities across Canada.

The combined network stretches from British Columbia to Quebec and is designed to bolster the country’s supply chain by supporting food manufacturers seeking to scale up production domestically.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide unparalleled cold storage solutions across Canada and internationally,” said Nicholas-P. Pedneault, CEO of Congebec. “By uniting our strengths, we are thrilled to deliver exceptional value and service to our customers who are embracing more than ever the demand for Canadian products.”

The alliance brings together Congebec’s logistics infrastructure with Bradner’s frozen, fresh and dry storage capabilities, including key access to the Trans-Pacific trade routes through Vancouver. The move supports Congebec’s export activity, which already reaches more than 50 countries, with programs like the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) playing a key role.

Tim Ludwig, CEO of Bradner Cold Storage and now part of Congebec’s ownership group, said: “We’re proud of what we’ve built at Bradner, which created the foundation to join forces with Congebec and expand our reach across North America. Together, we will set new standards in the cold storage industry and drive innovation in logistics and transportation.”

Congebec said it plans to continue growing its North American footprint as demand for Canadian food products rises.
