Wildwood Transport, an open-deck transportation company, has acquired Steelhorse Freight Services, a carrier based in High River, Alta.

The acquisition brings together two companies dedicated to providing proactive communication in the open-deck transportation sector. Wildwood Transport, based in Oak Bluff, Man., just outside Winnipeg, says Steelhorse Freight Services shared its core principles, including an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards in their work.

“Our decision to acquire Steelhorse Freight Services was driven by our mutual dedication to superior customer service,” said Ryan Mitchell, president and co-owner of Wildwood Transport. “The team at Steelhorse has consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality that mirrors our own. We are excited to combine our strengths and deliver an even greater level of service to our customers.”

With this acquisition, Wildwood and Steelhorse customers will benefit from a more diversified geographic footprint and enhanced service capabilities.

“We are confident that customers from both companies will experience significant benefits from this acquisition,” added Kevin Mitchell, COO and co-owner of Wildwood. “The integration of Steelhorse allows us to offer more comprehensive transportation solutions, while still providing the same personalized, effortless experience for our customers.”

The acquisition is effective immediately, and Steelhorse will retain its name and location in High River.
