Mitsubishi Logisnext celebrates 30 years of growth at HQ

Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Houston, Texas.
The company produces Mitsubishi forklift trucks, Cat lift trucks, Rocla AGV Solutions, UniCarriers Forklifts and Jungheinrich warehouse and automation products.
To recognize the milestone, the company has put together a timeline of events from its Houston campus and dug into their archives to share a few photos.
Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America (MCFA) put down roots in Houston in 1992 through a joint venture between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Caterpillar Industrial Inc. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries brought its manufacturing and engineering skills along with a well-known brand , and Caterpillar Industrial brought its dealer network and brand identity.

In 2013, the company broke ground on a new electric product assembly building, expanding its manufacturing capabilities by 40 percent. The next year, production of the redesigned pantograph reach trucks began in the new facility.
Jungheinrich opened its Automation Center in 2020. This new facility has more than 40,000 sq ft of space dedicated to providing customers the ability to experience Jungheinrich’s AGV technology firsthand. It is designed to help customers plan automation needs and uses live demonstrations of the Jungheinrich EZS 350a NA automated guided electric tow tractor and the EKS 215a automated guided medium-to-high-level stacker, both working independently to stack and transport materials, as well as working in concert to move loads onto carts for horizontal transportation.
After 30 years, the Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Houston campus covers nearly a million square feet and employs 850 people, of the 3,000 employed across North America.
