Autonomous truck loading solution expands to handle more freight types

Slip Robotics is expanding its product offerings with the introduction of SlipBot+, a suite of modular attachments designed to enhance the capabilities of its autonomous truck loading platform.

SlipBot+, developed alongside a diverse customer base, includes attachments that make it easier to auto-load and unload a wider variety of freight types in just five minutes. These additions support the movement of loose parcels, non-stackable items, oversized freight and more.

“SlipBot+ attachments are a natural extension of our SlipBot platform, developed and configured alongside our diverse customer base,” said Jordan Sanders, chief commercial officer at Slip Robotics. “Slip customers can streamline loading of all types of freight – not just pallets – while maximizing trailer space and operational throughput.”

Among the new SlipBot+ attachments are SlipBot+Bin and SlipBot+Edge. SlipBot+Bin increases throughput to over 1,200 parcels per hour, reducing dock dwell times by over 90 per cent, while SlipBot+Edge helps load floor-loaded boxes with ease.

“We’ve reduced unloading time by almost 75 per cent, loading times by 50 per cent and product touches by 50 per cent,” said Billy Malady, vice-president of operations at Four Hands, a global designer and wholesaler of home furnishings.

For non-stackable or oversized freight, SlipBot+Rack and SlipBot+XL allow companies to maximize trailer capacity, improve efficiency and handle larger or irregularly shaped items.

“Most customers first roll out standard SlipBots for all of their standard freight,” Sanders added. “Then, they naturally ask for SlipBots to handle the rest of their freight, including non-stackable and oversized items that are typically difficult and costly to ship.”

The new attachments enable SlipBots to serve a broader range of industries, transforming freight handling and improving operational efficiency.
