Geekplus introduces RoboShuttle Hyper to boost fulfillment speed

Geekplus has launched RoboShuttle Hyper, a tote-handling autonomous mobile robot designed to increase speed and capacity in busy fulfillment operations.

RoboShuttle Hyper is built for e-commerce peaks, fresh-food and cold-chain work, consolidation warehouses and micro-fulfillment centres. It can move up to 6,000 totes per hour per 1,000 square metres. The Max Workstation can feed more than 800 totes per hour.

The robot climbs at up to 1.5 m/s and uses updated software to move faster and position itself more accurately. A 1:10 charge-to-discharge ratio keeps robots available longer. The system is designed so more robots can work in the same space without reducing reliability.

Parallel climbing increases the number of robots that can work at once by 50 percent over the industry norm. Only two rack columns need to be locked during operation, which opens more access points. The system also allows two robots to work in the same column. A double-deep retrieval design reduces climbing cycles and increases storage density.

Two aisles under each rack increase robot path density by 30 percent, which reduces congestion and speeds up dispatching. The Geekplus scheduling system can coordinate up to 5,000 robots across 50,000 square metres and 3 million storage locations.

Reliability features include a reinforced rack structure, fall protection that limits tote drop distance to 50 mm or less and real-time tote alignment correction. RoboShuttle Hyper works with RoboSafe.

Geekplus entered the tote-handling segment in 2018 and later added RoboShuttle Air and Robot Arm Picking Stations. RoboShuttle Hyper joins RoboShuttle Air and RoboShuttle Flex and works with Robot Arm Picking Stations and the Gino 1 humanoid robot.

  • RoboShuttle Hyper – built for very high throughput and dense storage in fresh food, B2C e-commerce, consolidation warehouses and micro-fulfillment centres
  • RoboShuttle Air – designed for fixed-takt finished-goods and manufacturing environments, including sites with uneven floors
  • RoboShuttle Flex – suited to wide SKU ranges, multiple container types and fluctuating order volumes where flexibility is the priority

Its tote-handling lineup is built to cover the main warehouse needs operators face today, from peak-speed picking to fixed-takt manufacturing to broad SKU handling.
