Polaris Transportation Group has launched a new carbon calculator feature on its online customer portal, aimed at helping shippers measure emissions tied to their freight.
The tool generates carbon emissions data based on a shipment’s actual route and weight within a selected date range, providing shipment-specific results rather than broad estimates.
“Access to reliable emissions data is essential in today’s supply chains,” said Polaris sustainability manager Fulya Karakas-Akgun. “Our Carbon Calculator will empower customers to better understand and manage their environmental impact as we work together toward lower-carbon logistics.”
The company said the feature is part of its broader sustainability efforts, giving customers greater visibility into freight emissions to support planning and reporting.
The launch follows the company’s 2025 inaugural sustainability report, which tracks progress on environmental, social and governance initiatives outlined in its sustainability action plan and sustainable growth strategy.
“The Polaris Carbon Calculator marks another milestone in our company’s sustainability journey,” said CEO Dave Cox. “Through innovation and collaboration, we are making a collective effort to reduce our environmental impact and create a greener future for transportation.”
The feature is now live on the company’s customer portal, where users can access additional shipping tools and insights.
