Amazon Air Cargo takes flight

Amazon announced the launch of its air cargo service this week, which the company says offers more than 100 aircraft with over 250 daily flights across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia.
Posting on its LinkedIn account, Amazon Logistics wrote, “Ready for takeoff! Amazon Air Cargo is now open for business serving domestic networks across North America, EMEA and Asia. Built on the backbone of Amazon’s world-class logistics network, we’re ready to handle, transport and deliver your goods safely, securely and efficiently—on time, every day.”
Amazon Air Cargo offers one-day domestic networks, automated booking, real-time tracking and TMS integration. The service ships pharmaceuticals, perishables, general cargo, parcels and dangerous goods. Its fleet includes 737, 767 and A330 aircraft.
