Clarke Transport awards contract to Trailcon Leasing Inc.

Clarke Transport of Concord, Ont. has awarded trailer and intermodal company Trailcon Leasing Inc., with a one-year contract.

Trailcon’s Preventative Maintenance Program will ensure all A-checks, annual safeties and running repairs are done on Clarke’s 222 pieces of equipment at regularly scheduled intervals, and Trailcon will maintain complete records for each piece of equipment in Clarke’s fleet. These records will be accessible to Clarke at any time, and reports can be generated to identify costs trends of certain components.

“We look forward to having Trailcon service our fleet. Not only will it save us money, it will enable us to provide better service to our customers. At the same time, we can be assured that our equipment is in excellent working condition. That’s good for our employees and the general public who share the roads with our vehicles,” said Marc Mousseau, Vice President Operations of Clarke Transport.

Trailcon also has a 24/7 dedicated fuel truck to service such accounts as A&P and Canada Bread. Trailcon also maintains some of Canada’s other major fleets, including the Hudson’s Bay Company, Canpar and MSM Transport.

“We have added another mobile service unit to handle Clarke’s fleet. This brings to 16 the number of mobile service units we have operating in the Greater Toronto Area,” said Trailcon president Alan K. Boughton.
