CP Ships now trading on TSE and NYSE

by Canadian Shipper

Container shipping company CP Ships has begun trading on the Toronto and New York Stock under the symbol TEU, following the reorganization of the company’s former parent, Canadian Pacific Limited, which was completed on October 1, 2001.

CP Ships is now also included in the S&P/TSE 60 Index of top Canadian publicly listed companies, as well as the TSE 300 and the S&P Global 1200. It is the only container shipping company to be listed in North America.

CP Ships operates in 24 trade lanes, which are served by ANZDL, Canada Maritime, Cast, Contship Containerlines, Lykes Lines and TMM Lines. The combined fleet of more than 80 ships carries nearly two million TEU per year.
