Day & Ross builds Lachine terminal
The Day & Ross Transportation group is building a new $12.5 million joint terminal facility to house Sameday Right-O-Way and Day & Ross, Inc. operations in the Montreal region.
Construction has already begun on the facility, and is expected to be completed by the end of July. The Day & Ross terminal will feature 72 doors and 35, 147 square feet of dock area, while the Sameday terminal will feature 28 doors and a 22,500 square foot dock. Two maintenance bays with a total area of 3500 square feet are also included in the construction. The dock yard will be fully paved and the docks will feature electric dock levelers.
“Volume growth has more than doubled in the last five years at our current Day & Ross terminal in Boucherville. We also expect to continue growing,” says Jean Marc Dubois, president, Day & Ross Inc.
“The location we have chosen for our new terminal has great highway access. Our employees are looking forward to moving into their new facility and so are the drivers,” says Bob Brogan, president, Sameday Right-O-Way.
