DHL launches EasyShip upgrade

DHL Worldwide Express has released an upgraded version of EasyShip v4, the desktop PC-based shipment management system which operates on the windows platform and aims to provide easy access for customers to automate and manage their shipments. The system was originally developed in the mid 1980’s with constant refinements and enhancements including a DOS version.

Through this product customers can process their shipments, send shipment notifications, and get visibility into shipment charges and delivery status directly from their office computers.

The new features include MS Outlook style navigation, printing of airways bills and custom documentation on laser printers, and a new management reporting tool providing flexibility in the reporting format. The shipment import capability is now called from the main application. A comprehensive help facility is available on all screens, a data conversion utility converts data from DOS to windows. An easy to install network installation and configuration, and a one step uninstall facility are also included.
