Global Aviation Information Network holding safety conference
The Fifth World Conference of the Global Aviation Information Network (GAIN) will be held December 5-6 at the Hilton Miami Airport Hotel, Miami, FL.
This year’s theme is “Safety Information Sharing: Collaboration, Innovation, and Implementation.”
The event, co-hosted by Delta Air Lines and Airbus, is a forum for aviation professionals to discuss the importance of collecting and sharing safety information.
GAIN promotes and facilitates the voluntary collection and sharing of safety information by and among users in the international aviation community to improve aviation safety. The steering committee is comprised of aviation industry stakeholders worldwide, and sets policy and issues charters to direct the working groups dedicated to implementing GAIN concepts.
In conjunction with these working groups, a government support team (GST) explores ways to reduce the organizational, legal, and regulatory impediments to collecting and sharing safety information.
The GAIN Government support team, which includes civil aviation officials from several countries, will also issue a report, “Reducing Legal Impediments to Collecting and Sharing Safety Information.”
