Davies Turner has signed a new partnership with Manitoulin Global Forwarding (MGF), expanding its ocean freight capabilities between the U.K. and Canada.
The deal, effective July 2025, aims to improve service coverage, transit times and supply chain efficiency for both companies.
“This partnership with MGF marks an exciting chapter for Davies Turner’s Canadian services,” said Tony Cole, director of Davies Turner. “It gives us an ideal opportunity to further strengthen the two-way services that we operate between the U.K. and Canada, just weeks after Canada agreed to ratify Britain’s accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).”
Cole added the trade deal should boost business between the countries, benefiting firms like Davies Turner.
With more than 30 years in Canada’s ocean freight market, Davies Turner brings experience and innovation to the collaboration. MGF, based in Mississauga, Ont., has more than 60 years of logistics expertise and a network of 85 freight stations and over 1,500 vehicles across North America.
The two companies will offer weekly LCL and FCL services via Liverpool and Montreal, with onward links to the U.S. Midwest and Northeast.
