Overnite Holding Inc. expanding western market reach

Union Pacific Corporation and Motor Cargo Industries, Inc. have announced that Union Pacific’s trucking subsidiary, Overnite Holding Inc., is expanding its western market reach with a plan to acquire Motor Cargo, a western regional less than truckload motor carrier.

“We are very pleased to have Motor Cargo as part of our family. This acquisition will enable Overnite to accelerate our entrance into the attractive and growing western regional market,” said Leo Suggs, chairman and CEO of Overnite.
