Panalpina Inc. Names New Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Northeast Area

Panalpina, Inc. has appointed Tom Outwin to the position of senior vice president of the Northeast Area in its North America region.

Outwin will be responsible for profitable growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee development, and customer retention in the Northeast area of Panalpina’s North America region. He is based in the company’s Morristown, N.J., office.

Outwin brings to Panalpina almost 25 years of experience in the transportation and supply-chain industries. Most recently Tom was with supply-chain technology companies Intra and IES, which provide workflow and supply-chain event management software. Outwin also worked for Hellman Worldwide Logistics for 16 years, and while there he became chief operating officer for North America. He also has held a variety of management positions with Burlington Air Express and Harper Robinson & Co.

Outwin has a bachelor of arts in psychology from St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas.
