Rhenus acquires remaining stake in LBH Global Agencies

Rhenus Group has acquired the remaining 49 per cent stake in LBH Global Agencies Inc., making the port agency a wholly owned subsidiary as the logistics company expands its global maritime network.

LBH Group operates in 24 countries, including Canada, where it has offices in Montreal, Vancouver, Kitimat, Prince Rupert and Sept-Îles. The company provides port agency services for vessels handling bulk goods, liquid cargo, containers and general cargo.

The acquisition follows a partnership established in 2023 aimed at combining LBH’s port agency operations with Rhenus’ international logistics network.

Rhenus said the deal strengthens the companies’ ability to offer more customized, resilient and efficient supply chain solutions while supporting its broader strategic growth plans in global trade.

LBH Group will continue to operate under its existing brand and maintain its market presence under Rhenus ownership. The company will remain part of Rhenus’ maritime strategy as it seeks to expand its global logistics operations.
