Tecsys unveils new AI-driven supply chain tools aimed at health care and distribution efficiency

Tecsys Inc. is rolling out a suite of new artificial intelligence and agentic capabilities designed to improve supply chain visibility, compliance and execution in health care and distribution environments.

The company says the enhancements are enabled through its intelligence engine TecsysIQ.

The new tools target persistent challenges in complex, high-stakes supply chains, including drug shortages, inventory waste, regulatory compliance risks and point-of-care documentation.

TecsysIQ Inventory Visibility provides a single, real-time view of inventory across an enterprise, initially focused on pharmacy environments. It integrates data from systems such as automated dispensing cabinets, pharmacy software and enterprise resource planning platforms to help reduce fragmentation and manual processes.

TecsysIQ Image Capture is designed to improve charge capture and reduce compliance risk in hospitals by automatically identifying and capturing the correct barcode on medical products at the point of use, even when multiple barcodes are present.

The company also introduced three AI agents.

The WES Supervisor Agent, built into Tecsys’ Warehouse Execution System, is intended to anticipate labour risks and recommend staffing adjustments before fulfilment is affected.

The 340B Integrity Agent is aimed at helping health-care organizations proactively identify potential compliance issues related to GPO-prohibited covered entities, flagging risks before violations occur.

The Point of Use Expiry Agent monitors inventory across locations to reduce waste by identifying products at risk of expiring and recommending actions such as prioritizing use, transfers or returns.

“Complex supply chains need intelligent, safe and trusted AI that anticipates risk and prevents failure, not just visibility after the fact,” said Martin Schryburt, chief product and technology officer at Tecsys.

He said the company is focused on shifting organizations “from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven execution.”

Tecsys said Image Capture is available now, while Inventory Visibility, the 340B Integrity Agent and Point of Use Expiry Agent will be available in early fall 2026. The WES Supervisor Agent is expected in late 2026.
