Descartes & McLeod Software

Descartes‘s MacroPoint Capacity Network is now integrated with the McLeod Software PowerBroker’s transportation management system (TMS) to help freight brokers and 3PL providers source capacity and handle more loads. With access to over 280,000 carriers and their assets on more than a million truckload transportation lanes in North America, the combined solution allows brokerages to eliminate outbound calling, email blasts and manually posting freight to load boards, which can result in inefficient negotiations and a time-consuming booking process.

WestJet Cargo & SmartKargo

In 2022, SmartKargo, a cargo information management solution, will implement software that will provide a streamlined user experience for WestJet Cargo customers. The system will add paperless shipment documentation, make booking easier, and add real-time shipment tracking, as well as access important information and updates through a mobile and browser-friendly cloud platform.

OMC International & The PIER

OMC International now has a presence in North America with the opening of an office in Halifax. As a founding partner of the The PIER at the Seaport, OMC will take up residence at The PIER, located in the historic Halifax Seaport District. The office will be headed by Meg Batchelor, who has been with OMC for 15 years, and most recently held the role of support manager. OMC International delivers digital port optimization and risk management technologies, including DUKC which is trusted by ports and shippers globally.

Nulogy and OMP

Nulogy and OMP have signed an accord to jointly deliver digital solutions for multi-enterprise supply chains in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. OMP’s software works within organizations to ensure different departments are aligned to the same goals. Nulogy uses an AI-enabled platform that allows to FMCG brands and their extended suppliers to collaborate.

Vejii & eShipper

Vejii Holdings Ltd. has partnered with fulfillment company eShipper to offer same-day delivery across the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario starting January 2022. Vejii owns and operates the plant-based marketplace It will use eShipper’s existing warehouses and last-mile delivery courier relationships to customers in the GTA (with same-day service) and Eastern Canada. Previously, the Vancouver-based company was distributing its products from a West Coast DC.
