Tundra Process Solutions & Powell Canada

Tundra Process Solutions Ltd., a Wajax Corporation subsidiary, has acquired the valve business of Powell Canada Inc. Specializing in valve sales, service and support, Powell Valve employs a team of thirty-eight, and operates facilities in Edmonton, Fort McMurray and Lloydminster, Alberta. Founded in 1999 and acquired by Wajax in 2021, Tundra plays a key role in Wajax’s industrial parts and engineered repair services growth strategy. It distributes a diverse range of industrial process equipment, representing industry-leading manufacturers of valves and actuators, instrumentation and controls, motors and drives, control buildings, boilers and water treatment solutions.

Modern Beauty Supply & Attabotics

Modern Beauty Supply has partnered with Attabotics to introduce automation to the company’s fulfillment centre in Calgary, Alberta. The facility will support Modern Beauty’s 34 store locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Attabotics supplies ASRS systems. Robotic shuttles move in three-dimensions to store and deliver goods to workers on the perimeter that pick, pack and ship orders.  Measuring approximately 19,500 square feet, the new fulfillment system will boast more than 26,000 bins, 33 Attabots, five picking stations, and four replenishment stations. The system will begin operations as soon as Q4 2022.

Wolfpack Packaging & Supreme Packaging

Newmarket, Ontario-based Wolfpack Packaging Inc. has acquired Supreme Packaging. The deal was completed in June 2022.

Carlsberg Group & Kinaxis

Brewer Carlsberg Group is using Kinaxis‘s RapidResponse concurrent planning platform. Carlsberg will use the applications to increase accuracy within demand planning and inventory management across all of its markets.

Millwood & Cleveland Custom Pallet & Crate

Millwood, Inc. acquired its 10th Ohio facility and 32nd location in the US with the purchase of Cleveland Custom Pallet & Crate, Inc. (CCPC). With this additional location, Millwood will be able to supply whitewood pallets, crates and other products and services to much of northeast Ohio and beyond. CCPC, formerly known as G&M Pallet & Skid, Co., serves much of the greater Cleveland area and is a family-owned business with more than 40 years and two generations of experience.
