Manitoulin & Diamond Delivery

Manitoulin Group of Companies has bought Diamond Delivery and First Canadian Messenger in Surrey, British Columbia.  This add 150 service points in Western Canada. Diamond Delivery operates a fleet of 180 vehicles from terminals in Victoria, Nanaimo, Courtenay, Kelowna, Kamloops, Abbotsford, and Prince George. Diamond Delivery will continue to operate under its existing brand. 

Yara Marine Technologies & Algoma Central Corporation

Yara Marine Technologies has signed a contract with Algoma Central Corporation to install its FuelOpt propulsion optimization technology onboard a further eight of their bulk carriers. This agreement comes on the heels of FuelOpt’s successful installation onboard the Algoma Conveyor in early April 2021. The installation allows Algoma to comply with the International Maritime Organization’s incoming Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) framework – a significant concern for many ship operators.

Regal Rexnord & Arrowhead

Regal Rexnord has completed the acquisition of Arrowhead Systems, based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Arrowhead makes industrial process automation solutions, including conveyors, palletizers and depalletizers for the food and beverage, aluminum can and consumer staples industries.

Emergent Cold Latin America & DMX Logística

Emergent Cold Latin America (Emergent LatAm) has bought DMX Logística, a transportation company supporting Brazil’s protein industry. This acquisition is Emergent LatAm’s first investment in Brazil. Based in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, DMX Logística operates a fleet of more than 400 trucks and trailers across 13 locations, in addition to rail and other modes, serving the largest reefer ports in South Brazil.

ACI World & International Transport Forum

ACI World and the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the OECD plan to collaborate on policy topics encompassing economics, sustainability, and capacity issues, among other subjects. They will participate in each other’s events, including the ACI World Annual General Assembly (WAGA) and the ITF Summit as well as the ITF Roundtable on Airport Capacity and Competition: Slot Allocation at Congested Airports. ITF will take part in ACI World meetings, committees and events that pertain to economics and environmental protection. ACI World will contribute to aviation reports for ITF, and the two organizations will work jointly on initiatives related to the sustainable development of the air transport industry.
