CargoWise acquires VivaSoft

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: CargoWise, a logistics technology solutions provider, has expanded its global footprint with the acquisition of Montreal-based logistics technology provider VivaSoft. CargoWise says the deal expands it’s presence and customer base in Canada. CargoWise will continue to support and maintain VivaSoft’s current customers while offering them an upgrade path to CargoWise’s ediEnterprise solution.

VivaSoft founder, president and chief architect Eric Crespin will take on the role of CargoWise business development manager in Canada, while other staff will provide assistance and support for VivaSoft customers, as well as contributing to the ongoing development of CargoWise’s other applications.

“We are excited by this expansion into the Canadian market and the expertise and talent our new Canadian team will bring to CargoWise,” said CargoWise CEO and founder, Richard White. “Our plan includes significant investment in Canadian capabilities and integration into our powerful global platform.”

Through the partnership, the company will offer a new Canadian Customs application suite for all entry types and messages. The global CargoWise Hosting application will be available in the Canadian market through data centres in the US, UK and Australia and is included free in standard support arrangements.
