CORNER BROOK, NL—The port in Corner Brook, NL, is getting $1.4 million from the provincial government to help turn a former gypsum factory into an industrial port facility.

The government says the money will further position the port as an international shipping location.

Work on the project is phase one of the Corner Brook Port Corporation’s harbour expansion program.

The corporation is a community-based non-profit organization.
