The Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation’s (CITT) National Board of Directors has selected Jack Bradley as this year’s recipient of the Award of Excellence.
The Award is presented annually to the member who best exemplifies a strong commitment to the logistics profession and to CITT. Nominees are selected by their peers.
“CITT has been a part of who I am since my first full-time job in the industry,” says Bradley.
“As I look at the list of prior recipients of this prestigious award, I cannot help but feel humbled by being selected.”
Bradley is currently the director of Purchasing Logistics for Armtec.
His responsibilities include developing centralized systems to support the company’s regional operations, vendor relationship management, coaching and skills development as well as directing cost and service improvements and activities pertaining to purchasing and logistics.
Supply chain industry involvement
Bradley has been involved in the supply chain industry for over three decades in various leadership capacities with companies such as Rothmans, Benson & Hedges, Vicwest Corporation, MSM & Associates Consulting, Husky Injection Molding Systems and the Royal Group Inc.
Bradley has a B.A. from the University of Toronto and his P.MM designation from MHMS. He earned his CITT designation in 1981.
He currently serves on the executive board for SCL Canada and is a former chair of the City of Brampton Safety Council.
Bradley has written numerous industry articles and co-authored chapters in textbooks, including materials used by CITT students.
As a course facilitator and mentor, CITT has been a part of his professional life since the early ‘90s, first in the classroom and later as an online instructor.
Over the years, he continued to make contributions to the course curriculum. And as a long-time educator, he understands the challenges and rewards that come with earning the designation.
“The CITT designation provides instant credibility within our industry, and I know the dedication required to earn it,” says Bradley.
“I wanted to be a part of that learning experience and support others in accomplishing their goals. It has been extremely rewarding.”
